My fiance put a great deal of effort into finding the 'perfect' engagement ring for me and it was clear to him that it should be handmade. He could discuss his design requests via email and telephone at any moment throughout the entire process. Diamond solitaires, such as the Sabatina, are a traditional choice for engagement rings and the square shape of the princess cut diamond has become a popular alternative to the round brilliant stone. There are several good reasons for this. Firstly, princess cut diamonds have more "fire" than most diamond cuts, meaning that they more brilliant and have more sparkle.

The second advantage of the princess cut is that it makes inclusions, or flaws, less visible and any slight yellowish or brownish colour less noticeable, which means that the buyer gets a more attractive diamond at a more reasonable price.
